As Gertie Cummings, Andrea’s arpeggiated giggle rang throughout the 3500-seat Lyric Opera Theatre. Oklahoma! was the inaugural production of a now acclaimed 5-year Rodgers and Hammerstein series at The Lyric. Featuring the gorgeous 37-piece orchestra conducted by James Lowe, the production also included original Agnes de Mille choreography by 91-year-old choreographer Gemze de Lappe, who was part of the ensemble of the original national tour.
